1. Describe color and it's effects on emotions
Color can be described with a lot of words such as powerful, strong and stormy. Color can definitely be used as a form of describing our emotions such as gloomy and sad would be blue and angry is associated with red. According to the video, color is the most powerful artistic element and it is the most difficult to control; this is true for certain artists such as June Redfern when she critiques her own artwork due to the fact that it doesn't portray the right feelings.
2. What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? why?
The theoretical aspect of color that I find to be the most fascinated with is the fact that colors can be blended into other colors which will make a new color. I like how you can blend these colors and new shades of the existing color will be created and it usually makes the artwork or just about anything look better.
3. In the color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and its effects on emotions?
The biggest impact in regards to color and its effects on emotions is how colors and how you paint them can truly affect someone's emotions. For example in the video, the Scottish painter June Redfern changed her artwork several times due to her feelings; she obviously felt it wasn't working for her.
4. In the Feelings video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and its effects on emotions?
The biggest impact in regards to color and its effects on emotions for this video is the creation of the Mona Lisa piece. The reason for the huge impact is because it shows that artwork can have a mysterious side to it such as the way Davinci painted it. It questions you and you can draw emotions based on the colors that are displayed in this picture.
